The Adams Rite MS® Package

 

 

While the pivoted MS® deadbolt provides ‘Maximum Security’, it is only one part of the available package to protect doors against physical attack.

Standard cylinders are made from brass. It is the ‘soft spot’ in narrow stile door security. Using a number of different tools it is possible to tear the cylinder out of the door leaving an opening through which the deadlock can be operated. To combat this problem we have a range of armoured cylinder guards to suit the MS®1850 and MS®2200 Deadlock.

The majority of Adams Rite MS® deadlocks are installed in aluminium section where the strike cut out is often a slot in the jamb. In order to provide maximum security the trim strike cut out or slot should be reinforced with an MS®4000 series armoured strike. This steel ‘U’ channel is designed to prevent the method of forced entry known as “jamb peeling”.
