Adams Rite multipoint locks secure Greenwich Peninsula

Adams Rite has teamed up with innovative aluminium solutions provider Reynaers, to deliver a high quality lock and door package for London’s largest residential regeneration project.

The multi billion pound project to redevelop the Greenwich Peninsula is one of the most prestigious in London with over £100 million to be spent on providing community buildings to support the residential regeneration.

Encompassing the iconic O2 Arena, Greenwich Peninsula sits proudly on the banks of the Thames and is only a stone’s throw away from Canary Wharf and its striking ‘Gherkin’ business centre.

With an emphasis on sustainability, the Adams Rite heavy duty multi-point lock will be used on Reynaers single Eco System door as a part of the ‘Riverside Peninsula’ section of the project.

Construction is underway on the first of three residential blocks that will feature the Adams Rite hardware, with high quality apartments available for purchase in early 2011.

Initially a total of 130 locks, specially developed to meet the PAS 23 and 24 performance standards, have been supplied to the project while the Eco System door will continue to be fitted as standard throughout two more residential blocks.

Tim Almond, Business Development Manager for Adams Rite, commented:

“To have Adams Rite products specified for such a high profile and prestigious project illustrates the quality of the hardware that has been developed.

“A product that is designed to provide high levels of durability and reliability, the heavy duty multi-point lock compliments the sustainable nature of the eco door, while still underlining the need for high security in any communal residential project.”

Adams Rite, a part of the ASSA ABLOY Group, the global leader in door opening solutions, are the leading provider of high quality hardware to aluminium door manufacturers.
