Adams Rite reviews new security products at IFSEC - STAND 5069, HALL 6 - Leading security solutions provider, Adams Rite, is giving visitors to IFSEC 2008 the chance to learn about the latest legislation to affect the security industry and the products it has developed to meet these new standards. Situated on Stand 5069, Hall 6, the Adams Rite stand has been designed to help security professionals easily access all the information they need on the latest UK and European legislation, regulations and standards and how Adams Rite can assist them with meeting the rigorous criteria involved. As well as the next generation of security deadlocks, which have achieved EN12209 Grade 6, there is a totally new, extremely robust deadlock designed specifically to meet the most exacting Grade 7 with anti-drill performance suitable for use in a BS 3621 locking system. Also on display is a new concealed two point exit device locking mechanism - the European Exit Device. It meets the requirements of BS EN 1125 and can be installed in the new generation of thermally broken commercial door systems. There is also a version for the traditional shopfront door systems. Visitors to the stand can also see the new Deadlatch, designed to meet BS EN 12209 and developed for panic and emergency exit applications, it has Euro profile cylinder operation, separate spindle drive and an easily reversible two-part latchbolt. Also on show is Codelock, a mechanical access control device for aluminium doors. Available with an internal paddle handle or touch bar option, this system conforms to BS EN 179:1998+A1:2001 and BS EN 1125:14997+A1:2001 for emergency exit and panic exit doors. Codelock is suitable for both new and retrofit applications. The stand will also display an Abloy 250 CAM Action Door Closer - suitable for use on internal and external doors, they are particularly appropriate for use in buildings housing elderly, young or disabled people because of the low opening force they provide. When fitted to suitable doorsets, the door closers meet the requirements of Building Regulations, specifically Approved Document M, due to the ease of accessibility. The final product on show by Adams Rite is a PEMKO S773 Silicon Seal ‘Finger’ seal - ideal for sound attenuating applications, it provides maximum resistance to flanking with minimal interference to door leaf operation.
