Senior Architectural Systems shows off Adams Rite Sentinel 6 at Ecobuild

Adams Rite’s high security Sentinel 6 lock package has been exhibited at Ecobuild as a part of the Senior Architectural Systems’ SPW500 Thermal Door that recently achieved PAS 23/24.

The world’s largest event for sustainable design, construction and the built environment, Ecobuild represented the perfect showcase for the Sentinel 6’s innovative locking technology.

In achieving the PAS 23/24 standards, the Sentinel 6, and Senior’s SPW500 Thermal Door system, has demonstrated its high performance levels and durability.

The PAS 23/24 tests involve mechanical loading to simulate a crowbar attack, with 4.5kN of pushing force and 1.5kN of pulling force applied to every hinge and locking point of the door for 8-12 seconds.  A dynamic load test is also carried out, involving a 50kg weight impacting at various points of the door.  The PAS 23 tests relate to weather performance and testing to 50,000 cycles.

Derek Hodgson, Technical Manager for Senior Architectural Systems, said:

“The SPW500 is a commercial thermally broken screening and door system suitable for high traffic and heavy duty commercial applications such as schools, hospitals and leisure facilities. Achieving excellent thermal performance, the system has utilised Adams Rite’s high quality Sentinel 6 hardware package in achieving PAS 23/24.”

David Wigglesworth, Managing Director for Adams Rite, commented:

“We are delighted that visitors to Ecobuild had the opportunity to see our Sentinel 6 door package as part of Senior’s Thermal Door, demonstrating a combined commitment to both sustainability and security.”
